1. O Allah, nothing escapes Your hearing, O All-Hearing,
Whether uttered openly or in secret.

2. O Allah, God's hearing encompasses His essence,
All that is heard is revealed to Him in reality.

3. O Allah, the hearing of Truth is not an instrument,
Nor an attribute subsisting in His essence.

4. Rather, it is an eternal knowledge corresponding
Necessarily to the essence of what is known.

5. You heard the creeping of ants, O Hearer of supplications,
On the deaf rock in the wilderness.

6. No call distracts Your hearing, the rule of the one
Is like the many to You.

7. You heard the praise of those who praise and protected them
With Your praise, O You of praise in every blessing.

8. You heard the supplication of creation, its words
And spirits, secretly and openly.

9. O Allah I cried out to You in supplication and You heard me,
Not for boasting and fame.

10. But oceans of afflictions encompassed me,
The greatest of them my sin and delaying my repentance.

11. You heard and relieved them with spirit and mercy
Though I am not deserving of reward.
