1. O You who abases the disbelievers with destined abasement
Through their misery in the precedence of eternity

2. And that is a mystery veiled in majesty
And no judgment but His justice in the case

3. O You who abases whom You will with remoteness
As elevation is in bringing him near

4. O You who abases with ignorance, and ignorance is the source
Of every affliction, decline and vileness

5. O You who abases with poverty whom poverty
Debases in his religion with baseness

6. O You who abases with humiliation whom his humiliation
Is to other than You out of love or coercion and fear

7. O You who abases the tyrant in vengeance
And abases people of knowledge out of greed

8. My God I complain of an oppressor, You are sufficient for him
To raise tyranny over my weak strength

9. The world seemed to him like food to a hungry man
So it was delicious food to him, oh how evil is such food

10. So O You who abases, abase him to the lowest of the low
And unleash curses upon him from every direction

11. And flip him abased on his head
To the pits of destructive calamities
