1. O Eternal, Self-Sufficient, Majestic in His Essence
By His power, arranging the affairs of creation

2. O All-Sufficient for any steadfast one
By His hopes, for the steadfast way

3. O Most High, Ultimate Purpose
To Your glory alone, encompassing all ranks

4. O Worthy of praise, conferring bounty, to whom
All pride bows down and surrenders beneath

5. O Giver of souls their salvation
And stripping them of the world of humanity

6. O Giver of hearts their purity
And lifting them to the realm of divinity

7. I have steadfastly clung to You as my support
To You I entrust all my affairs, in my lowliness

8. I have been steadfast though I have not an atom of good
Except my good opinion of You, which is my excuse

9. I have been steadfast not by my own strength, but
By praising You sincerely, I have achieved my resolve

10. I have been steadfast, and nothing of my needs is hidden from You
By Your eyes, my exhaustion, inadequacy and tribulation

11. No distressed soul who has surrendered the reins of his pain
To the All-Sufficient Giver without limit, condition
