Lost in the darkness of grief calls and is saved

10. King of Kings, from his forefathers
Hud and Nu'man - excellent is the lineage

11. The seal of servitude to God in this world is his
If the Copts sufficed with Joseph as king

12. From his overflowing palm the roar
Of clouds, thunder in the zeal of foes

13. From his grace every nation has surplus
As Abraham among those who passed

14. Before his might his enemies
Fell like the Companions of the Elephant

15. Smooth cheeked steeds in his presence
Like pouring honey fragrant and clear

16. Their trotting to the highest honor through him
Tracing the steps of Burraq of the Chosen

17. His death like the cave for one seeking refuge and thus
Any ardently zealous soul finds sanctuary

18. If he shook a star it would come crashing
Like the palm trunk for Mary in labor

19. Moses was described when revelation
Mentioned his right hand ascendant in kingship

20. I seek God's forgiveness, his soul
Radiates the guidance of prophets

21. The expanse of his glory sacred precincts
Where pilgrimage rites lead to guidance

22. Era succeeds through him, believers prosper
With prosperity in following guidance

23. Light radiates from his face, unmatched
By any sunlight, from that brilliance

24. Guided by the Criterion, his sword Blade of Truth
Cleaved misguidance and blindness

25. His traits leave poets helpless
Like ants' inability to transcribe

26. And how many glories and merits of his
Are untold stories without end

27. If he drew the slightest ounce of will
He would crumble the cosmos like a spider web

28. Whenever he appeared a horseman
The realms of Rome quaked in anguish

29. The wisdom of Luqman - singular in his selfhood
Through it barren hearts gain life

30. If his enemies conspired
And gathered, their hands were scattered in defeat

31. He whose creator of every nature
Is his helper, the forms of might are impotent

32. The protected are welcomed by his mercy
With hearts forgetting evil and ignorance

33. If his attributes were to be catalogued
They would march in rows filling the valleys

34. And he whose will's path none withstand
So of course whatever comes against it is prey

35. Were the misfortunes of time to oppose him
They would be but morsels softly chewed

36. His days are celebrations for believers
Who find faith and piety in them

37. He threaded and separated pearls of
Justice and benevolence on the string of guidance

38. For his mind, concerns, and will
Consultation - in what he decreed, insight

39. Worldly ornament does not tempt him, and whoever
Rejects it cannot be swayed by vanities

40. How many smokes of reclining tribulations
Did he dispel, clarifying what was murky

41. Except for hoping in Your pardon, in what land
Could I survive, as if on burning embers?

42. O King of the world, O sun of guidance
O proof of God over mankind

43. I call upon You, though slipups drape the night
Seeking from You rays of acceptance

44. I ask from You innate soundness in my discord
And a glance in which affection appears at dawn

45. And in painful estrangement, my quest, intention, and plight
Is remoteness from You - a grave burden none can bear

46. I will never eclipse my faith in You since
I held fast to Your secure covenants

Except by Your decree - for will is nothing

51. How could I fear a night raid in my time
When Your most high visage is my refuge and preservation?

52. No overwhelming darkness from its woes
Except the dawn of Your hands dispelled it

53. If not for hoping I would have lived in any land
As if on burning coals its embers stoking me

54. O King of the world, O sun of guidance
O God's proof over people

55. I call upon You though slipups drape the night
Seeking from Your lightning bolts of acceptance

56. I ask from You innate soundness in my discord
