1. I sought help from God with a hopeful supplication
I prayed to you from afar and so became nearby

2. He fulfilled what was hoped for and guided the lost
His wishes descended on a sweet flowing spring

3. The springs did not disappoint whenever he visited
Nor did they offer him anything but the sweetest drink

4. And my destiny depends on your vines, that is enough
I have attained what I have wished for since I began hoping

5. And took residence in the most spacious mansion
I journeyed tirelessly as if

6. I was atop the highest peaks due to my persistence
I found the highest ranked and most generous of men

7. Whose soul truthfully ransoms him, no lies
He eagerly rushes to aid those who seek him

8. And trembles to do good like one shaking with rage
For turning to me and me to you I am thankful

9. He who thanks blessings attains the satisfaction of the Lord
