1. This happiness arose upon my feet
And for it I shed my cloak in the assembly of generosity
١. هَذي السَعادَةُ قَد قامَت عَلى قَدَمِ
وَقَد خَلَعتُ لَها في مَجلِسِ الكَرَمِ
2. If You desire good for the people, my God
Give me control over the rein of fate and nations
٢. فَإِن أَرَدتَ إِلَهي بِالوَرى حُسناً
فَمَلَّكَني زِمامَ الدَهرِ وَالأُمَمِ
3. For I would not let time deprive them of goodness
Nor would I, with them, deprive the most honorable traits
٣. فَإِنَّني لاعدَلتُ الدَهرَ عَن حَسَنٍ
وَلا عَدَلتُ بِهِم عَن أَكرَمِ الشِيَمِ
4. I confront time against them, all who demand
And I drive away time from them, all who lack
٤. أُقارِعُ الدَهرَ عَنهُم كُلَّ ذي طَلَبٍ
وَأُطرِدُ الدَهرَ عَنهُم كُلَّ ذي عدمِ
