1. We found the beloved purifying his affection,
And we praised his conscience and integrity.
١. قَد وَجَدنا الحَبيبَ يَصفى وِداده
وَحَمِدنا ضَميره وَاِعتِقا
2. Love brought the beloved closer to the lover's heart,
He sees not his separation, nor distance.
٢. قَرّب الحُبَّ مِن فُؤادِ مُحِبِّ
لا يَرى هَجرَهُ وَلا أبع
