1. Let me die while the family is still together, not yet split apart
And do not distance yourself from me, I implore you by mother and father

2. Allah watered a night where we were together after a separation
And brought two hearts closer, one of them anguished

3. So we spent the night together, if a glass of comfort
Was passed between us, it would not seep through

4. If only the night would grow darker
And the stars of dawn would not wander away
