1. Chiding the brown for its ignorance,
Preferring the white, smooth of texture,
١. وَعائِبٍ لِلسُمرِ مِن جَهلِهِ
مُفَضِّلٍ لِلبيضِ ذي مَحكِ
2. Say to him from me: Do you not feel shame?
He who equates camphor with musk.
٢. قولوا لَهُ عَنّى أَما تَستَحي
مَن يَجعَلُ الكافورَ كَالمِسكِ
