The scent of ambergris wafted from her, O Tamim.

2. Ibn Ubaydullah saw her, the arbiter,
Glancing at her with eyes intent upon her.

3. Formerly he was frowning-faced and stern,
But when he saw her unveiled face, he smiled.

4. For if the heart of the ambergris idol flows,
