In dreams we'd say delegations of the foaming sea

6. The pavilions swayed and the field of pavilions in it
And the vast courtyards and open spaces swayed

7. And the gazelles of humankind approached to gather
In droves not few in number

8. The winds burst forth with it, gusts and tremors
And the horses approached between cheek and forehead

9. Until when she halted she inclined toward a pleiad
Of forearms, safe refuge for her there curved

10. Swift assemblages, their mantles
To the instruments however much she calls them to leap

11. Aroused by the passionate of melodies she turned
Like a gentle breeze, gliding through the branches

12. And the spirits circled with the steeds heavily laden
With ornament so she submitted from the intensity of ardour

13. And in the pavilions - so from one languishing, one restless
One sick, one infatuated, one tired

14. And the palace is light and the horizons of existence radiant
And the open space between them expecting revelation

15. And the night adorned at its edges speaking
Crowned, halting of cheek and kind

16. As if its stars pouring forth scattered
Over the darkness amid shaken and troubled

17. Traces of cupbearers swimming
In their adornment escaped from a usurping hand
