1. Our Lord said plainly,
We will test Zoghloul,

2. Provoke and tempt him,
Love and draw him near.

3. If his feathers grow full
And he shows fickleness there,

4. And walks like the rest
In his cape's blindness,

5. We'll trap and dunce-cap him
Who's shape we will dunce.
