1. We renew the memory of your covenant and repeat it
And bring near the image of yesterday, though distant

2. And people have insights in the past to be guided
Upon them the lost or the rightly guided travel

3. When the dead is not honored in a land, his eulogy
Perplexed in it the living, how can he prevail

4. And we are the judges of truth, we tend its ancient ways
If we miss not in rights the new

5. And we know we are in building pillars
While you are a foundation in building, firm

6. Unique are our sacrifices many, but
The field of sacrifice, you in it are unique

7. So what's beyond what you endured in truth is no end
Nor above what you suffered in it, any addition

8. You were estranged for ten, in them miserable
While across the horizons, exiled

9. You hunger in countries, and naked in others
And you moan under affliction, while it is coming

10. Lo! in God's path and truth, flowing
Of wealth, you did not begrudge it and hoard

11. Your generosity beyond wealth, with self patient
When the present despaired, though he lavished

12. So you remained a statue of pure truth
On its secret we build glory and sing poems

13. Teaching the living's progeny how passions were sought
And how to defend it and fortify
