1. O Egyptians, yours is an abode I extol
So arise and pave the way for the king, arise!

2. Take the sun of daytime as adornment for him
Was not your first crown once embellished?

3. On morals, inscribe the monarchy and build it
For beyond them there is no pillar of glory

4. Do you not in the Nile Valley have Eden
And its copious flow running delightfully?

5. We have a country of our own we keep pure
And for the wide world we sacrifice it

6. When souls gush forth in it
We spend them as if we'd given nothing

7. Ours is the pyramid which time befriended
And from its news it drew reassurance

8. We are the lofty obelisk that stood erect
The ancients taught nations nobility

9. Long was their era in glory and pride
And when it was history’s treasure

10. We were reborn in glory anew
Making truth its lofty manifestation

11. We made Egypt the nation of Divine Majesty
And wedded the cross to the crescent

12. And came in ranks, strong and allied
As warriors strengthened warriors staunchly

13. For Egypt we seek glory unassailable
With peace waving on its flanks

14. And honored neighbors reveling in it
No lodger will find us wretched

15. We stand erect in our building
Entrusting completion to our children

16. To you we die, Egypt, as we lived
With your redemptive countenance enduring
