1. The Muslims and Islam were content
With Uthman whose blood we sacrifice for eternity

2. How can we enumerate your virtues in praise
Praise and honour come from you, to you they return

3. Do people say anything but that the sun is the sun
Though it is silent, there is no speech

4. And the position of the Imam is supreme though
With his words people lose their way

5. Oh Abd al-Hamid, time has passed gloriously
With you as Caliph and Imam

6. A people never saw the likes of this glory that eludes
Understanding, which people will never see again

7. An empire established for a thousand years
And hundreds of years will rebuild

8. On foundations from Uthman's era, constructed
In eight and likewise sustained

9. A wisdom that surpasses all this manifestation
Before which perceptions cannot reach

10. People will ask is there among people one of insight
That does not sleep

11. Or is there anyone left whose words are generous
And actions inspired

12. All people agree, you are that one
O exalted, no exaltation can match you

13. Your nobility and kingdom are great
Your authority vast, your command supreme

14. You are lifetime for people and safety
And wellbeing and peace

15. You were not given the Caliphate until
The destitute and orphans were crowned

16. And prosperity and growth prevailed, promises were fulfilled
Shade, harvest, clouds and rain arrived

17. And the crescent welcomed your radiant forehead
Where beauty and passion reside

18. Peace be upon them and him
The days of their lives through him found meaning

19. And the kingdom appeared clearly Uthman's kingdom
From your summit that cannot be contested

20. The Throne and kings hasten to you
And people of the age and eminent governors

21. Thus is the nature of time, a state then its opposite
No state with time endures

22. You who I sheltered under your forearms' shade
And the expanse of its shadows' sanctuaries

23. The Ottoman nation, Iraq and its people
Lebanon, the countryside and tents

24. A world that could not have been organized had you not been
Its pillar and peacemaker

25. It was refined by swords in time and today
Pens have completed its refinement

26. Do they say intoxication that will not fade
And remaining with desire and rising?

27. They will taste sobriety with the cups raised
And wine flowing at their hands

28. The East placed its hands in your hands
And parts of its protective arms came to you

29. With the loyalty desired by all
And the loyalty positions require

30. Without misguidance or treachery or envy
Those dreams have been dispelled

31. How can sight be guided when eyes
Are filled with pebbles and puss?

32. Eyes that suffered darkness long
Were blinded to see the darkness lifted

33. Souls can live with injustice until
They see injustice as unassailable

34. You who turn away, return to us
And enter the door for it is Islam

35. You are but an arrow in time when
Arrows cannot ward off arrows

36. You slept, now you seek glory
But glory on sleeping is forbidden

37. The worst life for men is that of dreams
For dreams can make death palatable

38. And time passes an Andalusian night
Then dawns with people as foreigners

39. You called from your lofty door
So we hurried with purpose in our souls

40. You appeared so we surrendered as people do
To the glorious pillar, prostrating

41. We implore the Imam victorious for Egypt
As sword champions sword

42. So for Egypt, you know best with love
With you, O guardian of sanctuary, protection lies

43. God bears witness to souls in this
And the knowledge of the All-Knowing suffices

44. And to the Master Caliph we complain
Of the injustice of an era whose freemen are shadows

45. And its promises to us were great
Did you see what ruin befell the villages?

46. We are weary and the affliction does not abate
That souls and bodies should tire

47. Does the fetter prevent rising? For the land is the crown
So raise your voice for it is Egypt

48. Raise your voice for it is the Pyramids
And rouse Egypt, you were always the best guardian

49. So the reins are yours by what you desired
The most loyalty can do, you have attained

50. So let your servants rise to defend you
And assault those whom time enslaves

51. And fortune favours and youth serves
For the banner they carry is lofty

52. And the matters they undertake momentous
Whoever wants what is right, many champions stand for right

53. And in time there are noble men
The sleep of truth will not please the transgressor

54. To truth belong gifts and vengeance
Decayed bones have natural graves

55. Their causes are bones
Raising the letter Dād to the Suhā will it be accepted?

56. So this system outshines the stars
I stood raising Dād in love to you

57. It is with it greeting and smile
In the curves of passion there are traits

58. I am drunk on its subtlety, entranced
It appeared for the best full moon and waned

59. Revealing signs of perfection
So adhere always to completeness, O moon

60. And you, completeness, adhere to the moon.
