1. Your sitting is peace for all people,
And your crown is the crescent of glory in us.

2. You ruled so you were the best of rulers,
And you are the most glorious among them, in life and in religion.

3. The throne was not stable,
And they left the kingdom without support.

4. You got up to straighten its leaning and rebuild it,
So you were the pillar and the solid base.

5. If only the authority was held by one who fears God in it and hopes in Him,
One who erases the mark of the foolish covenant,

6. And unites the separated words,
In a time when there is reversal for the kings,

7. And shaking and turmoil for the throne.
So you stood up and folded the sleeves of resolve,

8. And the storms were about to subdue us.
In a time when the enemies had movements,

9. If one wolf left, another wolf came.
Each party deceives with its desires,

10. While you were the faithful party for your Lord.
The enemies provoked the king to enmity,

11. And parties of Turks became hostile.
Some took others as soldiers against each other,

12. So the corrupters corrupted the corrupted.
Men changed so there were no men anymore,

13. And misguidance was adorned for the arrogant.
They aspired for the impossible,

14. And whoever aspires for the impossible will not exist.
They wished for the enemy what it wished,

15. And did not ask the living about us.
So do not be like them, O people, we

16. Have known the fate of the imitators.
Your veil of majesty upon you,

17. You are its beauty and the world’s beauty.
You reach out to the humble, and cannot be reached,

18. When you turn your eyes to the horizon.
Your position raises you above degradation,

19. And above the vanity of events and men.
And whoever has the war of nights as his kingdom,

20. Finds their changes have concerns for him.
You handle them in peace and war,

21. Receive them in east and west.
Repel them from near and far,

22. And bend them until they bend.
Alone you seek help and do not help,

23. As if you are time in your uniqueness.
But you are safety for us from it,

24. And great to betray and refuse.
You enjoy what is hard on the servants,

25. And delight in your solitude and wakefulness.
Go slowly, in your eyelids and heart,

26. And gently, O Commander of the Faithful.
None before you has prolonged the lives of people,

27. And your generous nation has stayed up.
While your people lie asleep at their beds,

28. Can the years upon the people be counted?
You repel all the arrows of nights,

29. And do not allow its arrows when you shoot to be repelled.
You protect from its afflictions and defend,

30. And none who seeks refuge in you will be protected.
How many afflictions you have uncovered, and great horrors

31. With deeds from you unprecedented by words,
And fleets you have repelled without might,

32. Escorted by all creations ridiculing.
You have gathered the command when it was chaos,

33. And honored the banner when it was down.
And protected the towns, long and wide,

34. With lions who frighten the dens.
How many elite brigades you have

35. Who have become the best soldiers for the best warrior.
When they crowd the enemies in the battlefields

36. They exterminate them and cross over.
Weapons of lethal death more effective,

37. When faith is kindled on the day of fright.
And might that crushes mountains to the ground,

38. And climbs upon them to the summit.
You organized the army with the blessed pen,

39. Like my organization of you in verses of eulogy.
So if you look for the ode’s chamber,

40. You read victory and the clear triumph.
And before the victory a victory has emerged,

41. High in the age, signs and brilliant.
It appeared over events when they were confusing,

42. And extinguished the enemy and the gloaters.
The orator agitates his people against you,

43. Slandering you in the gatherings.
But neither crescent nor cross has heard of

44. Another punishing the transgressors like you.
Increased foolishness increases your patience,

45. Because you are the most virtuous and high.
So you were a ladder for the Balkans' inhabitant,

46. While the hidden evil was the provocateur.
You spared the people a fire that some had stoked,

47. And took vengeance for the high honor.
And with you Islam can erase a disgrace,

48. When Islam one day is disgraced.
With composure not of saying and talking,

49. Honor not of the frail man.
And might from hands that pour softly,

50. Generous, pure among the most generous.
The black Turks then attacked again and again,

51. And shook the land in east and west.
With one who rallies armies and calls for help,

52. One who protects the positions and fortresses.
Greet those who empowered you, O citadels!

53. And those who, under his banner, have resistance.
For there is no news of victory like this,

54. Nor enthronement of your Lord being announced.
Rejoice, O widows, to the sky!

55. And O orphans, clamor with supplication!
And O martyrs, survive with prayers!

56. When the angels are heard exclaiming.
If homelands one day become difficult,

57. Or you miss a people and a homeland,
Then sleep in God’s safety, a sleep

58. Where everyone is under the care of the best caretaker.
How great is this feast appearing clearly!

59. And how much prayer is recited for you in it!
But the poet of Islam is loftier,

60. And most effective upon Muslims' souls.
Nights have been whitened by the kingdom,

61. The night of the kingdom is festive with decorations.
And how much celebration for you is in the hearts,

62. The body nearly manifests it.
And Egypt raves, stretching out her hands,

63. Fulfilling from your allegiance the best religion.
Looking to your finest feast with an eye,

64. Startled by passion, those eyes.
Is there for her acceptance by the Imam?

65. And is there for her reaching the Imam?
To complain of wounds that do not fade,

66. And how can fade what has reached the bones?
She came to you lowering her eyelids in shyness,

67. Repenting to you from the past ostentation.
Extending her hand to your wealth in hope,

68. And casting in it the hopes of the children.
So welcome her with your kindness and bounty,

69. And make her descend into your plains and shade.
May God prolong your essence for the heights,

70. And support her crown and protect the forehead.
