In the shadow of a house whose pillars are stars

7. The pride of nations is through knowledge by which they gain independence
Oh how degraded a people whom knowledge has spurned

8. So teach people, if you desire their success
For success has been the twin of knowledge since they both existed

9. Do not find fault with one living or dead, even if generous
Until you see in their manners benevolence

10. Wealth is no mark of excellence for the youth of nations
If virtues do not raise his status

11. The most blessed wealth you leave behind
Is wealth you bequeath to a people and homelands

12. Ask the lofty ones who squandered fortunes, their inheritors
Do they possess in the earth’s belly even a plot?

13. Tell the affluent travelers, do not stop
Being worthy of virtue and charity’s domain

14. O finest of people in competing to give
And most excellent of people in building goodwill

15. You have given a gift to knowledge leaving
Neither the destitute nor orphans deprived

16. You have honored the esteemed institute, recognizing
It never ceased to teach you gratitude

17. A hand extended to knowledge, it continues spreading
Until generations ride its wave

18. White today, green tomorrow
When it unfurls upon the earth like grasses
