1. Muhammad, you did not fail us, you did not break your promise
You were truthful and spoke the truth, you have a conscience

2. You are learned when knowledge is still, and learned when it stirs
You are the prince of retention, speech, and prohibition

3. If those three do not have a prince
You are above the learned of the people, their teacher

4. And above the advisors of the people, their advisor
If our opponents are ignorant towards us one day

5. You protect us from the ignorance of opponents
And if they brandish their pens, you brandish after them

6. Watching out for him among the horizons a whistle
If he prays he meets the hatred of the people with hatred

7. For him in the souls of detractors a roar
And you are near in loyalty, hoped for

8. And you are great in argument, aloof
And I admire you when you do not endure

9. And I find you when there are many jesters
