1. The worst of calamities is for one to be a leader
Who does not greet the noble men with peace

2. They blamed you when they found your work excellent
And saw your path in life upright

3. Where is the forbearance when there is no forbearance for the group
Who sought the impossible and believed the delusory

4. If they babble, indeed you have left their hearts
Complaining of hard, unfeeling hearts

5. Or if they demand the pain of every refined person
Indeed, you have made them taste excruciating torment

6. God is in their minds and hearts
Indeed, you have made me know souls as merciful

7. Numerous are the arrows of the detractors, yet
You have sent your arrow piercing and poisonous

8. This is what you knew, so do not stand up for their banners
And weigh them, even if they filled the lands with defeat

9. They claimed that life itself was precious and vile
Words that fly away with the useless chaff

10. If they get angry, indeed you were pleased, and it is enough for them
That they throw me into the foul hell

11. If they resent, they created misery, and if they were pleased
They made the lives of the wretches blissful

12. They opened their Gardens for their party and prepared
Glory be to them! A hellfire for the unbelievers
