1. My home is a shelter for whoever descends
And my provisions are lawful for whoever eats
١. فَداري مناخٌ لِمَن قَد نَزَل
وَزادي مُباحٌ لِمَن قَد أَكَل
2. I offer what I have readily available
Be it nothing but bread and vinegar
٢. أُقدُّم ما عِندَنا حاضِرٌ
وَإِن لَم يَكُن غَيرَ حُبزٍ وَخَل
3. So the noble is content with it
As for the ignoble - he finds no worth
٣. فَأَمّا الكَريمُ فَراضٍ بِهِ
وَأَما اللَئيمُ فَما قَد أَبل
