1. How many an astute scholar
Full of wisdom, little wealth to his name
١. كَم أَديبٍ فَطِنٍ عالِمِ
مُستَكمِلِ العَقلِ مُقِّلٍ عَديمِ
2. While an ignorant owns vast riches
Such is the decree of the Almighty, the Wise
٢. وَمِن جَهولٌ مُكثِرٍ مالَهُ
ذَلِكَ تَقديرُ العَزيزُ العَليمِ
