1. Beware of women, for women
Are deficient in luck and intellect and religion,

2. And the evidence for each has come
In the Scripture's clear proof.

3. As for the evidence of their deficient luck,
Their inheritance is half the males' share;

4. And half the intellect, so their witness
Is equal to half of two witnesses.

5. And the deficiency in their religion is enough:
Menstruation increases their certainty.

6. Missing prayers and fasting
At times of menstruation again and again

7. So never obey them, for one day
Regret from that could last for years.
