1. If you ruled through consultation
How is this when the advisors are absent?
١. فَإِن كُنتَ بِالشورى مَلَكتَ أُمورَهُم
فَكَيفَ بِهَذا وَالمُشيرونَ غُيَّبُ
2. And if you argued through kinship
Others are closer to the Prophet and nearer
٢. وَإِن كُنتَ بِالقُربى حَجَجتَ خَصيمَهُم
فَغَيرُكَ أَولى بِالنَبِيِّ وَأَقرَبُ
