1. My soul on its sighs is imprisoned
Would that with those sighs it had departed
١. نَفسي عَلى زَفَراتِها مَحبوسَةٌ
يا لَيتَها خَرَجَت مَعَ الزَفَراتِ
2. No good is there in life after you; rather
I weep fearing that life may grow longer for me
٢. لا خَيرَ بَعدَكَ في الحَياةِ وَإِنَّما
أَبكي مَخافَةَ أَن تَطولَ حَياتي
