١. وَرِثتَ ما نِلتَ مِن فَضلٍ أَباً فَأبا
وَرامَ غَيرُكَ أَن يَسمو لَهُ فَأبى

٢. أَلَستَ شِبلَ الأُلىَ سادوا وَكانَ بِهِم
جيدُ العُلى يَلبَسُ الياقوتَ وَالذهَبا
3. You are their crescent so hurry that you be seen a moon
Covering with your rising the writers and the literati
٣. هلالهم أَنتَ فاِعجَل كَي تُرى قَمَراً
تَغشى بِطَلعَتِكَ الكُتّابَ وَالأُدَباء
4. You still tread the paths of the rightly-guided as you hope
To attain from the King of the Most High the loftiest goals
٤. لا زِلتَ تَسلُكُ سُبلَ المُهتَدينَ كَما
تَرجو لِتَبلُغَ مِن مَلِكِ العُلى الأَرَبا
