And the heart's torment for so long?

22. Oh, love is a clever thief
Who seizes the heart with perfect art

23. The heart becomes a humble slave
To love, in secret and openly

24. Can you see it is magic? But the incantation
Did not save me from its sorcery

25. The secret of love cannot be grasped
By a human mind of little wisdom

26. Its secret is in the soul, and the soul is hidden
Behind the veil of the unseen, keeping me ignorant
