1. Under the blaze of the sun in the desolate deserts
The caravan marched hastily on its way across the wasteland

2. When the caravan reached a fork with two paths - perdition or salvation
And road signs marked each path's omens

3. One led straight ahead, beckoning to press on
The caravan followed it without hesitation

4. Except a faint voice saying:
"You erred, O guide, you missed the path!"

5. Days passed as the caravan wandered lost in the desert
Seeing the path they were on had disappeared

6. Wandering misled them, leaving the people confused
Roaming blindly right and left

7. The guide led them astray into endless darkness
Spreading terror over those parts

8. A voice from the caravan cried:
"You erred, O guide, you missed the path!"

9. Yet the arrogant guide showed stubbornness
Claiming the path he chose was best

10. Some believed him submissively, yielding
Others resented in silence, though criticizing

11. Declaring the caravan's path was surely perilous
And for the traveller, confusing if not wise

12. A voice from the caravan called:
"You erred, O guide, you missed the path!"

13. The guide went on heedless with the crowd
Lost deeper in the wasteland feigning courage

14. Water grew scarce and specter of famine appeared
Mutiny rose in the caravan, obedience ceased

15. A spirit of evil in the people grew evident
As their leader hid his vile intentions

16. The caravan cried:
"You erred, O guide, you missed the path!"

17. The guide resorted to guile with the unruly caravan
Said he was very skilled in reading the sands

18. "I will inform you, do not rush me for fate"
He drew lines and strokes in the sand

19. Then showed surprise at what he saw, like one astounded
Told the people "Have faith, relief comes soon"

20. The caravan muttered:
"You erred, O guide, you missed the path!"

21. Exhausted, starving, with no water left
The caravan lost patience and hope

22. The false promise of relief would not come true
The caravan was determined to kill the wicked guide

23. He wept begging like a confused child, humbled
But the caravan's torment quenched their rage

24. And after mocking him, said:
"You have erred, O guide, missed the path!"

25. The guide perished. The caravan rallied its strength
And marched on towards its sought destination

26. Sincerity spread through the people to their core
They were graced with mercy in despair from God

27. And in the night they saw the pole star, so went north
At dawn they reached settlements, specter of death gone

28. The caravan praised in voices:
"Thanks to God who guided us to the path!"
