2. They tormented my body with emaciation and my inner self
With estrangement, and drew copious tears from my eyes

3. The paths of perfection belong to my master
The one with the glorious traits, the purest lineage

4. The embodiment of virtues when he was granted the highest station
At the summit of the Most High, the most majestic and lofty

5. How strange is he who doubts when the report of Ghadir has come
Whose text is undisputed

6. The covenant of the Prophet to the people concerning his virtues
Woe to those who deny his virtues and neglect this

7. I counted his virtues but his enumeration exhausted me
And the thoughts of the brilliant scholar wandered in fathoming it
