The wise one meets his fate not resentful

9. I suppressed my love, enduring, but my tears betrayed
My secret and flowed from shedding eyelids

10. If the abode of loved ones denied my anguish
My longing and passion are proof

11. I wander when the doves moan, finding them
And my fervor is stirred at dusk

12. I remember the breeze of youth
Tormenting me to be patient when patience has abandoned me

13. Yet I am patient for patience is noble
For lovers, and forbearance the best ally

14. I ask the morning breeze to carry my love
To the steadfast controller of the solid dwellings

15. The praiseworthy virtues overshadow it
And through it people's poems are sweetened

16. My friend, if separation comes between us
I will not abandon our love covenant

17. You have a right, I will not forget our tryst despite the distance
I was happy with it and fortune was my ally

18. My eyes have not looked with favor except to you
Nor have my poems rung except for your virtues
