له صورة يستحن القرد عندها

1. He has a face before which monkeys humble themselves,
As if the monkey's face were the more comely sight.

١. له صورةٌ يَسْتَحِنُ القردُ عندها
على أَنَّ وجهَ القردِ أَحسنُ منظرا

2. When he begins to speak to me, I fancy
He is chewing betel from excess of daintiness.

٢. إذا ما ابتداني بالحديثِ حَسِبْتُهُ
تَسَوَّكَ من فَرطِ النتّونةِ
