1. He appeared, so my heart was diverted from every goal
And he shone, so my gaze turned from all sights

Stems from the sun for the dawning of blear-eyed jealousy

3. He showed me in describing his essence perplexed
Though in the perplexity of purpose I am guided

4. And whoever has beauty without end
Every passion for his love is made new

5. He favored me with kindness to the noblest purpose
And its purpose is that I witness my Creator

6. And he regarded me with a choosing eye
To His command, the command of guidance and devoutness

7. So if I do not witness Him in every witnessing
I reject the meaning of professing God's unity

8. I rave about Him in every valley, and yet
I feel intimacy with Him in growing affection

9. And if not for the bonds of youth and passion
My wandering in those tracers would not have prolonged

10. And nothing held me back in distance and nearness
Save my greed for attaining the supplies
