1. May God forgive her, on the day she bid farewell
To a dear one buried in the dust

2. If only she had hesitated, her affliction
Would have been easier on the grieving heart

3. But she saw on the ground a coiled serpent
On the cooking pot of a mischievous donkey

4. She thought it was a snake, and assumptions are liars
When they inform of what is hidden in the future

5. She plunged towards it from eighty fathoms high
Then became a tale spread amongst believer and doubter

6. Greed hastened her demise
And he who follows greed's command will falter

7. So magnify, O you, God's reward for her
And your Lord's recompense in a branched ewe
