1. Whoever has God's help in his affairs prevails
And has no difficulty attaining what he seeks

2. So reach out your hand toward what you desire with confidence
For your Lord has made causes available to you

3. You intended good and God was All-Seeing
That this is truthful from you, not lies

4. So praise be to God who rewarded you graciously
For the good that you intended - the best reward there is

5. I do not mean kingship, for kingship belongs to you
Inheriting its minarets father from father

6. Rather, the virtues that God has granted
To those of His servants He loves, out of His bounty

7. They have all come to you, so gain through them
A love that amazes both non-Arab and Arab

8. If you do not know of them, they certainly knew
What God embedded in them - an innate disposition

9. When your noble smile appears to them
They take flight from mortals, stirred with yearning

10. The Exalted has cast upon you from His love
That which attracts the hearts of people

11. Whoever acts for God's sake will not regret any
Deed that pleases his Lord, however difficult

12. Whoever says wealth through injustice grows
While justice diminishes it, he has lied

13. Whatever God does not bless decreases, while
Whatever God blesses, pure or impure, grows

14. So scarcity of income and stillness of regions
While abundance for one in turmoil - an anomaly!

15. The outcome of justice is this security we live by
While injustice remains corruption's waylayer

16. In the state of King al-Mansur you - go freely
Wherever you please and draw gold unhindered

17. Humiliated before him are the heads of enemies
Humbled - not one audacious till drew sword or struck

18. If Time had days like his rule
None would blame its days, faultfinding or grudging

19. Sheathe your swords, enemies now slumber
Feigning love for what they harbored of dread

20. Whoever fears God makes a good escape
Pleasing him without contrivance or scheme

21. You were created of mercy while people are heedless
None but you sympathizing, pulling them near

22. So do not let a pact made with God
Deflect you - a breach considered graft

23. To God belong sudden comforts after hardship
His wonders appear to mankind out of the blue

24. Put God's approval first - you'll be praised for
Its consequences; nothing else praiseworthy in the end

25. For you by justice have more right than Chosroes
And any attributed with justice, deemed just

26. So do not leave them cause to mention
The sun - when it appears - dims the stars

27. God's servant has filled the land with justice
Better for him than filling it edge to edge with gold

28. Can oppression long stand in justice's pasture
Where justice's crops have quaked and trembled?

29. Injustice crouched on its knees when it walked among us
While justice strode forth upright on its two feet

30. Happy king and blessed days
Your justice sends down the rainclouds

31. You were prophesized to us in the cradle suckling
Flaws unerringly avoided since the start

32. God fulfills promises - yours to reward
Recorded with Him in pages reserved

33. So commit yourself and accomplish what you aspire to
Draw your blade and give all rights their share
