1. Come to me, O You whom we cannot encompass in knowledge,
Nor deduce limits or forms for You.

2. And whom the confinement of the slightest of attributes cannot approach,
Nor can minds separate in comprehending You a ruling.

3. Eternal without a beginning, Last without an end,
All-Hearing, All-Seeing, not a soul nor a body.

4. Minds are frustrated below You and reasoning is cut off,
So there is not in the powers of thoughts, imagining You or fancy.

5. And no creature, with knowledge surrounding its Creator,
And the sun is hidden from the blind.

6. And where is the scope for the mind when You created it?
So Your planning in Your creation takes the knowledge away.

7. And the means around the embryo You chewed,
And the nerves, flesh and bones You instituted.

8. And You brought it out as a fetus, and grew it as a youth,
Then as an adult and elder after reaching puberty.

9. He lied about You who said other than You is the Creator,
A lie and his nose is rubbed in spite.

10. Does a fetus create itself and it is a drop,
And grow itself stage after stage so it is completed?

11. And an adult fails to recreate a hair
Or to deflect from himself gray hair and sickness?

12. No! They lied! The Creator of creation is our Lord
So this one has no father determining his traits nor a mother.

13. My God do not take us to account for our sins
And turn in repentance and pardon every sinner.

14. My God, You created the creation so suffice them
For they have fallen into that which You enveloped in knowledge,

15. From hardship, affliction, and severity by which died
Those who died from loss of knowledge.

16. My God, send us a helpful, returning, pleasant rain,
Pouring copiously, benefiting the people, not harming them.

17. And direct it to every valley flowing
To the people’s settlements, not their tombs.

18. And bless for us the plants, livestock and crops,
And smile on the blossoms of the land with flowering meadows.

19. And moisten it with rains and make the pastures lush,
And make prices affordable for us and root out inflation.

20. Relieve these starving and needy from hunger and scarcity
Lying incapable on the roads, and clothe the poorest with meat.

21. For misery has touched them and hope in the people has gone
Except You, O Most Generous.

22. Save us, save us! Faces have become unrecognizable
And wombs have been cut off from their closest kin.

23. And provide for us instead of each other, do not entrust
A father to a son or nephews to an uncle.

24. For apart from You they have no unveilers this day
To relieve this creation of its worries.

25. And the wealthy fearing poverty cannot satisfy
Those whose sustenance is from the palm that does not fear scarcity.

26. And You, my Lord, are most merciful to creation
When they wrong themselves with sins, unjustly.

27. You mean them good when You test them
And You hide for them gain in that which they saw as loss.

28. You admonish a servant forgetting amidst what he loves
If people spent the night with what they sought unfulfilled.

29. My God, save shivering elders
Whose bones expired in this severe year.

30. My God, we are the sinners but You never ceased
To grant and give from Your most plentiful grace.

31. My God, we exceeded every limit but did not limit
Limits with which pardoning cannot contain the sins.

32. My God, protect the evildoer of the benefactor
And the ungrateful from the grateful, and have mercy on the child and non-Arab.

33. For You pardon abundant sins
And grant provisions to the disobedient, giving them time.

34. My God, You sent gales impregnating
Their storms to irrigate, after the dust dispersed the water.

35. My God, hasten us and quench our thirst, and protect
Some of us from others through authority, lifting injustice.

36. Assist him in what You approve and make him pleased
With the people, and make them pleased with him, and increase what is with him.

37. And increase for him, my God, righteousness and mercy,
And through him relieve the captives and relieve worries.
