1. The light of justice has shone and oppression has been extinguished
And the pillars of guidance have stood tall and grown

2. So say to the misguidance that had raised its head
And the long lasting disbelief, the time for decision has come

3. With every day and night
Yahya will revive

4. The tenets of justice that oppression had erased
And youth will return to adorn the world

5. And religion and governance will prosper
So your rule, O Yahya, is bounty and grace

6. While the rule of the oppressors is sin
Through your rule, God has relieved the people

7. Of distress, making even mothers forget their children
Some have worn the cloak of caliphate unjustly

8. Because the Merciful has placed knowledge among its rightful people
So this young lad still short of wisdom

9. Threw off the cloak of kingship imposed on him
They went on with their rules as it complained

10. While their ears were deaf to its complaints
They left no consideration for themselves before their Lord

11. With a command regarding His religion that was based on conjecture
They aided the enemies of God

12. And did not reserve from their providence an arrow for the Lord of the worlds
And warnings from their Lord made them laugh

13. But woe to those who make the Lord of the Heavens their adversary
They did not refrain from displaying their ignorance before His creation

14. As injustice and aggression permeated them all
Indeed, I suffered harm from them but my only crime is

15. The singling out of the Lord of the skies
And you suffered abuse from them, as you knew

16. So that you may know God's decree is inescapable
No good can come except by His ordainment

17. Nor any evil be repelled if He decrees decisively
They intended the worst for you but your Lord did not will it

18. So what God willed came to be, not what they schemed
They dragged you from the army so that chaos remains upon them

19. And kingship departs you, thus judgment was inverted
And they fell into the state I was in, oppressed

20. While you attained the position they previously held, without oppression
Our Lord intended vengeance upon them through you

21. And God schemes, though beyond comprehension
Your destiny cannot be hidden, yet He hid it from them

22. And blinded them from insight and forbearance
One like you cannot be harmed, yet they

23. Have the violation of his religion to account for before their Lord
So He blinded them until they taste a punishment

24. From God in meaning, and from you in name
There is nothing beyond this—so take them

25. To account for their deeds until they repent and withdraw
For kingship is indeed yours, but first

26. Let the worth of the afflicted be known when touched by illness
And were it not for them your merit would not

27. Have become so evident, nor their blemish exposed
The foil allows the fine gold to gleam

28. Without gloom, the moon borrows no luster
Your father who adorned kingship like no other

29. And you, the pride your parents beam
So greet Yahya in whom creation lives

30. For with him flesh and bone thrive
Every well-wisher among people offers congratulations and joy

31. For with Yahya each group finds its share
All live on, whether forced or at ease

32. Through two traits in Yahya: bounty and clemency
You intimidate the corrupt though never unjust

33. But give signals by which the valiant are known
They refrain from making mischief, feeling dismay

34. No sword has been drawn, nor arrow flung
I sent them an army of dread to restrain them

35. With self-preservation and peace now their sole concern
Kingship came to you without your asking, so you established it

36. Having languished neglected, now standing tall
I brushed the dust off it as I propped it up

37. And dressed it in garb no blemish can stain
I revived justice, dead and erased

38. With no vestige left of it in the world
Yahya has safeguarded it with his action

39. And tongues once tied are now eloquent with gratitude
So your rule is a relief from God upon them and you

40. Thanking God is now obligatory by decree
So honor this state whose beginning is yours

41. For excellence at the start foretells an excellent end
It has reached the heights, unparalleled
