1. More talk reveals the lack of action
And a man's logic may lead him to slip

31. Outward rebukes to brethren are easier than
Inward malice in rectifying crookedness

32. Leave impetuousness and forgive completely without
Riding any but the forgiving and beware the stumbling of hastiness

33. Do not drink poison relying
On antidotes tested by experience

34. Cast out loved ones and brothers if they sever
The cord of affection with a cord from you connecting

35. The most powerless of people are the free man whose
Friend and affection is lost and not recovered through schemes

36. Purify your character and extract it more easily than

37. And carry three qualities in your requests
Observe them and leave what you wish and say:

38. Oppression of mediation, oppression of rage so pardon them
And oppression of neglect and be just and do not blame

39. And with people be as they are towards their Creator
And beware association with riffraff and the lowly

40. And fear harm when honoring an ignoble man just as
You'd fear harm from disgracing a nobleman at a banquet

41. Accepting excuses from people is innate, do not trust them
And if you determined then assume safety and resolve

42. A young man's awareness is hiding his unawareness
While taking precautions against excuses and folly

43. Ask experiences and look in their mirror
For in their consequences are the most similar examples

44. The best experience for the soul is what it takes heed from
To avoid falling into frustration and dependence

45. So be patient for one whose consequences you feel secure from
For perhaps the lesser one was the first one

46. And do not be fooled by one rising easily
For you may find him narrow upon alighting

47. For matters and deeds there are consequences
So fear sudden punishment and beware it in respite

48. The reasonable man foregoes his passions fearing
The need to remedy odious obligations

49. It is manly for a man to forego his desires
So consider which of the two you prefer and endure

50. Be shy of the criticism of one who if you draw near
Will praise and of one whose praise if you blame will be cheap

51. The worst of creatures are those concerned with people's equals
Like flies observing where the sores are

52. If you were balanced like a measure in calibration
People would say this one is not balanced

53. None wrongs the noble one except he who dares him
And the lowest of the low wrongs the one below him in assault

54. Oh unjust neighbor to one matchless
But for the All-Dominating do not be fooled by respite

55. Tomorrow you will die and God will judge between you
With wisdom and truth without deviation or leaning

56. The most deserving of pardon are those with power over
Punishment if they catch one who slips

57. A young man's forbearance from the foolish of a people is disliked by
His supporters and protects him from treachery

58. Forbearance being innate so no bounty in which
He excels for He created man of haste
