1. In God the Glorious, for those who passed before
Let not the excess of sorrow and regret afflict you

2. And let not that which appears formidable appall you
For what darkness does not get dispelled?

3. Time does not consider people for long
If they move along with it, they stop at an end

4. The best thing deserving of fine patience are misfortunes
Inevitable, with no turning away

5. And everything from which benefit is expected
The wise spend their lives striving for it

6. If something gone could come back, sorrow
We would ransom it from the turns of fate

7. But death is an ailment with no remedy
And the seeker of attainment turns away from it

8. Death terrifies us greatly when it attacks
And we deny the matter, then admit

9. It startled a flock, so it shivered
From fear while the soft meadow diverted it

10. And time continues to make us laugh and cry
With its turns, and so did past generations

11. And God's chosen ones, their ranks are not hidden
The youth cannot know from where to pluck

12. And the hated among matters may contain
A covering for the beloved he halts at

13. Look at people's conduct altogether
For they stood by sorrows and clung

14. So you see none but one with a burning heart
And none but one whose eyelids a human hides

15. No wonder they panic at the horror of an accident
That almost tore their loins apart

16. While you are more deserving of uprightness and returning
To what intellect and glory and honor require

17. We belong to God. As for tribulations in the dark night
Through your face radiance bursts forth from them

18. We are ransoms. So no matter what misfortunes befall
Our souls without you are the target

19. And we are two groups, some of us waiting
To be sacrificed for you and some passed on

20. When a number passes away, He creates others in their place
One comes and one turns away from you

21. And you are a pole around which the spheres revolve
And the full moon of your fortune never wanes

22. Who can ask time to erase his sins
When he comes with confessed sins

23. It followed its nature with those who sacrificed themselves for you
Steps and pearls are not equal to seashells

24. So its bloom faded and its looks turned white
And it wished it had perished

25. O King who your successors encapsulate
Virtues described by the most eloquent describer

26. O You who when addressed “O You with no peer”
No words in my sincerity differ

27. Do not worry. Whoever you lost will join you
In the presence of the Most Holy, in the shade of Pleasure

28. In the eternal Garden, in the House of Dwelling
Lofty chambers have become hers, above which are chambers

29. She is called to God around her tomb everyday
And the scriptures are read out at it

30. Force your soul to patience however much sorrow pierces it
In calamity, however slight or strong

31. And restrain the path of anguish and grief and make them forget
For they have no rescue or palms there

32. If some days have slipped by, then say
