1. O you who hunts when the lion of evil attacks
And tears through the thick darkness in war

2. For you is pleasure in hunting this prey
And all prey is inside the vastness of the earth

3. And for it to die here by you is better
Than disgraced life over there

4. You have honored it by expending your resolve
In pursuing it, and that suffices as pride

5. None before you fled hoping for safety
But so you would catch it if it fell short

6. You would not be pleased if it surrendered itself
While hoarding its soul greedily

7. But your secret is for it to flee with its soul
So horses chase it as you see

8. Your hands have triumphed over it, and that is a sign
Indicating you are victorious in wars

9. Your Lord continues to choose you for His creation
A king, and protects them, not weak

10. And shows you what you desire and grants you survival
With a life no human has lived
