1. Do not despair, for hope has often relieved,
Sustenance is predestined, no matter how much hope is conceived,

2. And many a matter I had despaired,
Deeming its means impossible, yet it came to pass and was repaired,

3. Certain am I, o confident soul,
That death shall come when deliverance is its goal,

4. So be patient and do not hasten, for never have I heard,
Any reproach to the patient, nor a path made curved,

5. And avoid greed, for how many a lesson,
Came in censure of its masters, so in it they were sunken,

6. And trust in God, and know that He,
Shall not deny a door, so seek and it shall opened be,

7. A King of generosity in word and deed alike,
Bringing ease where hardship did strike,

8. An ocean that makes armies flow,
Against enemies surge, billowing as waves grow,

9. How many spears have pierced the chest, and reddened in their trail,
And he who strived for corruption, in ruin he did fail,

10. And how many has its sword destroyed, of hosts,
Dispatching them while man arrived coerced,

11. And the earth remains still, though all who,
With treachery spilled blood, were bloodied too,

12. No hopes proved true for one whose way,
Always strayed, and from the path did sway,

13. I limp to the Heavens, its heights beyond,
For the world could not prevent my hopes abscond,

14. O King, paved be your remembrance way,
From it my songs of praise shall not stray,

15. Your servant Ismail is not inclined,
To hopes beyond You, or thereby find,

16. No wish has passed in my heart,
But you, nor hope, nor wish to depart,

17. To you I complain the state of a servant estranged,
And love of you that within me unchanged,

18. I have not seen one who complained of injustice,
And came to you, but found relief and bliss,

19. Nor one gripped by affliction and fears abound,
Except through you, solace he found,

20. Still you remain, O Master of Kings, whenever,
Hope is placed in you, from adversity the recover,

21. Peaceful towards events, peace upon you I bestow,
