A sea of blood would flow over the face of the earth

3. And how many pillars have migrated towards heights
To wash away treachery or purify a sin

4. And none were sheathed except after leaving the enemies
Seeing peacefulness in them as a ladder to safety

5. Swords that have mastered striking but pardon
When they find no cure for the strike like a balm

6. You do not seek to strike the necks of those who raid
If the young man among them obeys and submits

7. The enemies' wrists and palms are enough
And the submission of enemies to be shattered has arisen

8. So O king of the world and its knight who
Filled it completely without fearing and being generous

9. You ruled the world by sword and captivity from one who
Was mighty and who can question your generosity?

10. Out of fear of the sword they extended their palms to gifts
And no longer had in them disgrace as nourishment

11. One who loves rebukes you for keeping them
Seeing the killing of those who opposed even if subdued as spoils

12. Yet your sword refuses to be dirtied by the blood
Of one who surrenders out of inability even if a sinner

13. Nor has the face of your horses turned away
From one whose submission reflects mercy

14. What king is like you, O victor, in battle
With your protection if one seeks it, and punishment if one defies

15. Avoiders of the path of misguidance avoid
It is enough for the sensible if I hint so he understands

16. Take a path other than what you are on, for here
Are those who deviate with it from righteousness, guided

17. You have started a war whose men you are not
So when the eloquent tongue called you, you were muted

18. You stirred up a hornet’s nest beyond fighting capacity
And it came tearing through on a Thursday morning

19. For there is none among you with a heart in his chest
Nor one who saw a fortress to protect him even if fortified

20. And you fluttered like a ray of light then delighted in the pardon
Of one who sees pardon as more healing for the sick and decisive

21. You have heard and seen through him today hopes
That deafened your hearing and blinded your sights

22. So return if you wish, and if you wish then refrain
For the first has been pardoned and no pardon after this

23. He who denies you these favors of yours
Has come with a sin that fills the earth and sky

24. He pelted them with the likes of mountains, when will you see
A brother, except when loyal, denying them?

25. The horses made the dawn rain over them in torrents
Filling the horizon except for an upright pillar

26. They came attacking each other thinking the glance was
Reproof in love, while the rider intended a glance of care

27. The radiance of dawn erupted as if it were the gloom of night
With it, and tongues imagined it was stars

28. So it won, and with its win in Jazan, made peace
With Khalid from the sin after repentance and grace

29. Indeed it was destruction at first that attained its path
Then returned to it after acceptance what was demolished

30. And it stretched its shade over Tays and Jalaal
Gazelles and your command went among them

31. It has indeed gathered ornaments and Jazan is Mecca
It sees it is more deserving than them of your supremacy

32. So if what is narrated is true, and its noble one
Underestimates our worthless chattering and gossip

33. And agitated the breasts of the dark-skinned with slander
While we said to the fair skinned of India “You have met the season”

34. With your truthfulness if they repent and your pardon if they disobey
You have attained what you hope for and returned a Muslim
