1. I prayed that Allah would not bring you together,
And that worldly life and the hereafter would not unite you.

2. As for this worldly life, disdain it, for perhaps
The sword of Islam facing you will suffice.

3. The prayers of disbelievers to their Lord,
No matter how long, lead only to misguidance, as is known.

4. As for the hereafter, where is Hell
While you are in it, away from His Paradise?

5. And his saying that with Allah he is self-sufficient -
No one who says this is deceived.

6. Other than Allah has made you self-sufficient, and Allah knows best,
But you have not thanked your provider.

7. If you were self-sufficient through your Lord, you would not
Give charity to enemies and facilitate disbelief.
