1. He threw bodies upon his throne
As a reminder to him, and he repeated

2. And if God loves a servant, He increases him
With trials, guidance and righteousness

3. Nothing is lost that is under protection in the evening
I mean the prayers and litanies

4. And we knew, and you knew, that
Except you, Mecca, no place can be a homeland

5. It has returned while you are in it, most deserving and its people
Complain of separation and lack of ancestors

6. Nothing was absent but for preparation, and the full moon does not see
In any sky but its own, repetition

7. Wait, O sons of Hassan, for the beauty in you
Can you not see the beauty in you as a pillar?

8. It is your fortune, and if fortune misses a man
And deserts him, time makes up for it with obstinacy

9. The Turks did not leave the lofty noses
Until they endured humiliation and evasion

10. Whoever is not led in the wilderness by a leader
Of his people, is destroyed by whoever leads

11. Return to your accounts and make up
For glory through you that died or almost died

12. This defeatism among you has made you
A help to those who opposed you

13. Reconcile the ties of womb-relations whose severance is forbidden
Whoever among you did not leave behind children

14. And you have masters, of whom it is said
They are like your own souls, meaning leaders

15. What is lost is lost, so buy for your families
And keep in touch, do not let the envious gloat

16. In divergence of opinion there is only
Weakness for you and empowerment of enemies

17. Do not become in the morning like fire, some of it
Eating some of it until it becomes ashes

18. And let some of you fulfill the rights of others
For estrangement begets hatreds

19. And walk in the steps of your ancestors
Who increased in justice, increased affection

20. Forgiveness and pardon are your assets
Not injustice you inherited or corruption you began

21. And ignorant zealotry has died in you
So beware if you revive it and repeat it

22. There is no shame in the clemency that calms fury
And its gentleness increases its extinguishment

23. The shame is in the ignorance that arouses
The winds of enmity’s fire and kindles it more

24. Good for you is honor when you are led
By one who aspires for houses when columns are lacking

25. Affairs do not prosper without an arranger
The lack of permanency of a people who counted on supplies

26. And leave the leadership among you to one hopeful
Who is wont not to miss the appointed time

27. And from God, the Overseer, he has the habit
Of God making him proceed as he is wont

28. Do not covet that your correction be
Through differing, which causes corruption

29. Verily misguidance does not lead to guidance
And deviation does not avail you advice

30. Sovereignty is granted by the Overseer whom He wills
And greed distances you further from it

31. Leave the leadership to the one for whom it
Was made, and consent, and be worshipers of God
