1. O Barquq, I seek refuge in you
From he who equates the Creator to the created

2. And sees no difference between
The worship of our Lord and that of a deaf rock

3. So if you find him, that wretched dog, barren
Then kill him, not gently, for he is a disbeliever

4. Does he insult our Creator while we protect him?
Indeed, if so we are evil slaves

5. How many favors and rights
Does God and Prophet Muhammad have over you

6. Shun their enemy and leave him be, for what man
Befriends his foe and takes him as a friend?

7. Accursed Satan is the enemy of our God
So beware he finds a way to you

8. He is ominous, and whoever he afflicts
He scatters and divides their unity

9. Remember your God and seek refuge from his evil
No matter what comes to you, for he is a heretic

10. By God, by Great Avenging God I swear
By God, I speak truthfully

11. I do not hate him, for I know
Hatred comes naturally to all people

12. And by God, were it not for his disbelief and hypocrisy
I would not yearn to hate him

13. If he thought well of our God
And repented his tyranny and came to his senses

14. No Muslim in your knowledge would hate him
For who can bear to hate Muslims?
