1. I congratulated him on Eid, so slaughter and sacrifice
Your maimed slanderer slaughtered the bridge of the neck

2. And sacrifice the enemies whenever you want, for you have never
Slaughtered them on the day of slaughter

3. And adorn Eid with what you used to adorn it
With the king's decorations that were not appreciated

4. These are the men of youth who have become in the morning
At the door like the blossoming stars

5. They came early with their looks from you
And from kissing the ground that is considered

6. And they took seats that you arranged
In which their dignity is from the clothes of pride

7. When a person sees himself among them
He sees what he has not seen before

8. They await permission to kiss the ground
Before you so permit and choose

9. And they will kiss it short of kissing your hand
Out of awe of the sultan and the awe of the scene

10. Servants and guards standing before him
Not speaking as those in the Resurrection

11. Bowed down in awe, if a bird landed
On their heads, it would not be scared

12. A king whom you see the necks bowed down before him
More humiliated than the kneeling camel

13. Everyone kneeling like a camel before him
And kissing the ground with a smaller cheek

14. While the king is on his throne crowned
With pearls piled up and jewels

15. So wonder at the heart of one who came surrendered
In this state and did not break

16. His hands are taken as the Honorable's taking
Of the most despicable and lowly

17. And whenever he walked with him he gestured to him
That if he kisses the ground here, he rushes

18. And if he comes near the throne they push
Against his chest and ward off the intruder

19. Minister and prince are equal before them
Among them none of position scolded

20. But the one of position remains standing
While others leave without being seen

21. Bewildered by what they saw
Busy with thought and pondering

22. When the crier called out among them asserting
The king with the good praise

23. Raising a voice never passed
Any hearing like the roaring thunder

24. So they shivered at his praise
As they shiver from thunder at rain

25. A barren king, judicious and honorable
With ultimate generosity and good influence

26. Until the morning fulfilled its purpose
And nothing remained for its people of shelter

27. Except preparing for prayer, it is indeed
Your comfort, and Islam is the shelter of the trader

28. And the ride was brought near and called upon
So the land shook from the commotion

29. And the people were disturbed and rebelled
So the rebellion stirred like turbulent floods

30. Until you rose like the rising sun in the morning
Its light overwhelms the limits of sight

31. So the land shone with your face for us
And the darkness of that confusion disappeared from it

32. And the horses gallop and the armies mobilized
With soldiers following soldiers

33. And the people between an indicating hand
And an eye looking out

34. Were stunned by what they saw of you, if
One were to cut off the neck of another, he would not feel it

35. While you went to prayer humbly
To God, turning away from arrogance

36. You walked calmly, glorifying
Forgiving and seeking forgiveness

37. And you stood before the soldiers, observing their training
So the thrusts for war were like shooting stars

38. You set up a clear target testing
Their skill like a ring on the finger

39. So one who missed bowed his head in shame
While one who hit smiled clearly

40. Martial skills were indeed with the Chosen One
And thrusting needs remembering

41. Then you went to the prayer niche, heading
Until you settled at the foot of the pulpit

42. Listening to preaching, affecting
Whoever loves God does not deny

43. And you returned from it pure and cleansed
Of every major and minor sin

44. You are a king who helps God, and whoever
Helps Him, Glorious is He, will not help in vain

45. And God forgives his sin
Even if it were like dust and drops of rain

46. Since you helped our Lord we have not heard
Any tyrant rebel against God the Exalted

47. Every planted and irrigated tree
In the kingdom not drowned in idolatry

48. Would sacrifice for you, if one counts a father
Then count him over a thousand fathers

49. For their rule from Adam arranged
To the pure shining king

50. Son of the most noble king, son of the excellent
Son of Ali, son of Dawood, lad of victory

51. A people raised by time in their homes
As infants, adults, and elders

52. The Tubba's and how many kings
From Qahtan's descendants and Himyar's

53. The kingdom was Islamic and pagan
Among you, O kings of Himyar

54. And you are more generous than we saw among them
And heard, you are the sea of seas

55. So praise be to God you attained your wish
