1. I sought you, O praised King,
None but you is refuge after God.

2. How many promises we have from time,
Fulfilled by your hands, we hope.

3. When the mighty is in need,
Our protector, the King, rushes to aid.

4. With virtues you have been endowed,
And with them you became refuge for all who came.

5. O son of the most noble, praised in deed,
For relieving great calamities when they erupt.

6. Time has let me down, and I hope
For none but you at this difficulty.

7. Take me by the hand to you, for you are best,
For a great one broken by time and anguished.
