7. Increase your crowds and acquire its horsemen
For through its people, humankind proliferates

8. Until he sees you among his armies
Quenching, as your thirsty spear quenches

9. The son of Ismail, reprimanding those who see
Stabbing, if a stubborn one stabs him

10. Therefore he sheathes his sword in battles
If his peers retreat with their backs to him

11. He refuses and disdains that his sword
Should gain a retreat or win a coward in war

12. A king, when delegations descend upon his plains
They depart, each saddlebag filled

13. So descend upon his plain, and gain from his bounty
What the lazy sedentary cannot gain

14. And pride yourself on your nearness to him, and thank
The gifts his majesty has bestowed upon you

15. And when you ride the sword for his contentment
Know that you are that man
