And bent the cloaks of the faith

2. Victories shone upon the people through Ahmad
After victories, the sleeves of flexibility

3. And folded the sorrows of earth after its plains
Folding the register and sorrowing every place

4. And strange things happened for your happiness, unparalleled
For they were by the care of the Merciful

5. Sanjar was stripped for a matter of the eye
And Allah stripped him for another matter

6. Al-Mughira came unknowing what it was
That came upon him until the two armies met

7. The enemy attacked coinciding with his arrival
For his misery and the sultan's happiness

8. Had it not been an appointed time we would not have left them
At that time to meet

9. And to eavesdrop they had come to me
Rightly without the devil to that

10. A wonder never was nor will be
The like of them in all eras

11. God has a secret in your ascent and this
Came to this secret like a title

12. Sleep, fill your eyelid, after this reassured
By God, thank Him for His bounty

13. And cast down the weapons, for your fortune suffices
So strike with it, stab and live safely

14. Take what has come to you, for gifts have come
From Him to you without measure or scale

15. You did not accept but the sword while we kissed your cheek
O you whose call and sword are brothers

16. O you about whom I say and you know
That for mountains of Himer and ink suffering

17. Among the mountains today an eighth sea
Flowing its ice and a second sea

18. Al-Nasir son of Al-Ashraf the Sublime
King of Kings and Knight of Knights

19. All the kings with him are the retinue of his people
They have become like words without meanings

20. The merit of kings despite his youth
Is the merit of the son of Adam over all animals

21. His fingers have made death spare his aides
So he walked extending them without aides

22. And about fingers sparing him, fortune did not cease
Throwing the enemy with strokes of the youngster

23. O you who protects against the turns of his time
Take vengeance for me from the turns of time

24. Lassitude placed on the brilliance of my position
And filled my hands but from deprivation

25. My wishes come to me excusing the wishes
Among them hope's procrastination and bending

26. I have been excessive in diminishing my fortune but you
Were not content with the bad fortune and diminution

27. Why do I fear time and its caprice
And why did I accept it with a cowardly heart

28. Why not seek refuge in Ahmad and he would give me refuge
And complain of the injustice of its caprice and he would spare me

29. O you whom if I say other than tastefully
I call poetry to praise him and it comes to me

30. I keep praises of other than you forbidden
For you, I guarded it from So-and-so and So-and-so

31. I do not make poetry permissible except about you
And by it to other than you my tongue will not speak

32. For you I have praise, whenever I recite
