1. With your generosity, branches have flourished,
And eyes have settled in their sockets,

2. None like you was known to us,
From ancient times, nor will there be.

3. When kings are mentioned in every land,
You are the overseer, they are the eyelids closed.

4. If they are the stars, you are the sun,
The stars of the horizon with it are not seen.

5. You are above the kings who do not compete,
When the achievements of ages are mentioned.

6. The soil of your feet is powdered musk,
And other elements besides you are water and clay.

7. And I, O Abu Al-Abbas, am your servant,
Tender with love for you, indebted.

8. The honor of a servant is honor for the master,
And your servant is honorable, he does not become base.

9. Does the rain of your generosity run dry, while it is a downpour,
Where the trickling rain stops?

10. And I hope that you will forget
My position in the shade of your shelter.

11. Abu Al-Abbas, take my news, for I
Am true to my word, not oath-breaking.

12. And lower yourself to listen intently to me,
A wondrous discourse, and discourse is ardent passions.

13. You traveled, so I traveled, but warriors hindered me,
To whom I owe debts.

14. They did not let the camel caravan pass until
I swore to them an oath that cannot be violated.

15. I swore to them by your Lord that you will see
Me come to you, and that I seek help from you.

16. That you will grant me payment
Of their debt, and you are my guarantor.

17. Among them are violators who think
That I will be liable for an oath and a pledge.

18. I swear I will not be disappointed, and you are my goal,
A saying not tainted by doubts.

19. I rejoice in your gifts to others,
So how will I be when I obtain them?

20. Oh, you are the adornment of authorities, allure of our homes,
May eyes draw you near.

21. Dwell in the meadows and be our neighbor,
What a good neighbor and friend!

22. For no people have you left
Whose state went straight, or whose eyelids closed.

23. It was no delight in the first place,
That is humiliation and lowness for its people.

24. Oh, O King of hope,
When supporters and aiders are few!

25. I have accepted precious gifts from people,
But toward you the thing is suspected.

26. And in my possession, O Abu Al-Abbas, your servant,
Is eloquent speech, trusted and secure.

27. He composes poetry that does not fatigue prose,
Nor in his speech is anything disgraceful.

28. I have gifted it to you, so accept it from me,
And take it, for with it you are familiar.

29. I do not compete with your praise, but
To humble before me minds and foreheads.

30. And take from the cycles of fate my vengeance,
And may my sorrowful heart be consoled.

31. Why should not hope abandon false wishes?
I live by them and seek help by night.

32. You promise me wishes,
Cut off doubt, for it is the certain truth.

33. When anxiety boils, I see my patience
Strengthened by all kinds of wishes.
