1. You have imposed upon yourselves as a Sunnah
To be performed after finishing the dawn prayer

2. You have sought good through it, though it was not intended
And you have done well, and doing good is a trait of the noble

3. Then you became lax, though laxity opposes
The nature of a generous one whom Allah has granted reward

4. You were provided sustenance you never intended to cut off
And my composition of it is undoubtedly best in poetry
