1. Did you not see me praising God that I

So my advice and thanks to him were sincere

3. Thus every year he lives virtuously
I make, for the Lord of the Worlds, a vow

4. When Abu Marwan leaves his place
The world will not be pleasant, nor rain fall

5. People will not rejoice in births among them
Nor on earth remain anything of value

6. It's not the seas you tell me of
Rather, Abu Marwan is the ocean, a man he is the sea
